Velodyne DEQ-12R Best Review

Obtained this subwoofer to exchange my outdated MK MX-80 sub that we had had for 18 years. Did lots of subwoofer researched and came away preference the Velodyne DEQ-12R the very best. The items that drove my own decision were its functions & specifications, price, the good reviews this had received and also the fact Velodyne has been manufacturing subwoofers for some time. However, things didn’t go well. The initial sub I received had an out of the box failure. The handheld remote control didn’t function. Called Amazon customer care and they got me an upgraded in 3 days, but this place also had an out of the box failure. At initial I thought there is a power supply failure as the display didn’t illuminate when it had been turned on. I afterwards discovered this did have got power simply no show. Also found that Velodyne subs are assembled in China, hmmm I don’t observe any difficulties there. Called Velodyne to bitch about their low quality control. No approach should an individual have to experience one permit along two out of the box failures. Velodyne’s tech support told me I could open up the subwoofer without voiding the warranty to see any lose cable connections. Found the display cable tv unplugged. Reconnected the cable and display was ready to go. Why should I must fix their mistakes. How in which its operating, the subwoofer sounds excellent and you can easily set upwards and use. I like the sub I’m just disappointed by Velodyne quality. Velodyne provide your the assembly back to the declares. I simply hope this kind of sub will hold up as well as my outdated Miller & Kreisel would. Only period will tell. As the side note, my experience with all the Amazon customer care department was initially rate.
